Just a quick post here about ruts. These are those times, even after practicing day after day, hour after hour, that you feel like you're just totally wasting your time. You feel you're not getting any better, and you'd rather tie a fishing line to the headstock of your guitar and use it as a fishing pole.

I would hope that everyone understands the importance of practicing daily. Obviously, there will be times when you absolutely aren't able to practice. Missing a day now and then won't have an overall effect on the long term results, but it's when you miss repeatedly that will cause you to never reach the level of playing that you could have.
